That didn’t take long, Ivey acceps Dwan’s challenge

After posting about this yesterday I realized that it wouldn't be long until Phil Ivey accepted Tow Dwan's online poker challenge. What I didn't realize is that he would have to wait his turn.

Phil Ivey confirmed today on PokerRoad Radio with Barry Greenstein that he's already told Tom "durrrr" Dwan that he'll take on his million-dollar online poker challenge. He also said Benyamine is up first to try the challenge and Antonius is waiting in the wings for a shot at it.

During the same interview it came out the challenge was open to anyone except Phil Galfond (?) and Greenstein had this to say "I would have expected him to challenge everyone except maybe Phil Ivey, who's looking to me like the best heads-up player." Exactly. You can listen to the entire interview here.

We'll be following this situation closely and will let you know if we can figure out when it's going to go down. This is one thing I'd love to be a railbird for. All you need to watch is a Full Tilt Poker account which you can get by signing up here.

Did you put (?) next to Phil Galfond’s name because you haven’t heard of him?

He goes by omgclayaiken on FTP and he’s probably the best shorthanded PLO and NLHE player on the planet.

Also won a bracelet in PLO w/ rebuys last summer.

I just thought it was weird that he would choose him over Phil Ivey, or really choose anyone at all. Isn’t the point of this contest to prove he’s the best? I am aware of Galfond though and love his game.
